The 30-share benchmark index ended the trade at 26559 down by 97.68 points or by 0.37 per cent, while the NSE Nifty ended at 8050.80, down by 15 points or by 0.19 per cent. 

On the global front, Asian peers ended the day on a negative note. While, European counters were also trading in red, with all CAC, DAX and FTSE in negative terrain.

Bajaj Auto

Shares of Baja Auto fell on Monday fell over 5 percent after the company reported a 8.59 percent decline in total sales for October.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 2428, lower by 4.75 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day low of Rs 2394 during the trade.

Jet Airways

Shares of Jet Airways  soared 8 percent intraday on Monday after the reports of ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala purchased 1.05 percent stake in the airline company for Rs 50.52 crore through an open market transaction.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 450, higher by 3.16 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high at Rs 483 during the trade.

Indian Overseas Bank

Shares of Indian Overseas Bank today slumped 15.5 per cent to touch a one-year low after the company reported a net loss of Rs 550.83 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, reports PTI.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 31, lower by 11.43 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day low and 52-week low at Rs 29.55 during the trade.

Coffee Day

Shares in Coffee Day Enterprises, that runs the renowned Cafe Coffee Day chain had a weak listing on the bourses, dropping to a low of Rs 275.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 270, lower by 17.53 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day low of Rs 266 during the trade.

Reliance Communication

Shares of Reliance Communication rose on Monday after the company said that it will take over Russian conglomerate Sistema's Indian mobile telephony venture that operates under the MTS brand.

The stock ended the trade at Rs80.90, higher by 7.51 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high at Rs81.15 during the trade.

L&T

L&T continued to fall and plunged to a fresh 52-week low following disappointing results.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 1387, lower by 1.64 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day low and 52-week low at Rs 1375 during the trade.
