The 30-share benchmark index ended the trade at 25803.78 higher by 309 points, while the NSE Nifty was at 7844.35, up by 93 points.

On the global front, markets across Asia ended the trade higher. While, markets across Europe were trading with gains of more than 2 per cent, following the US Fed move.

Hindustan Unilever

Hindustan Unilever signed an agreement with Mosons Group for acquisition of its flagship 'Indulekha' brand.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 867, higher by 1.55 per cent on BSE. It touched na intra-day high of Rs 867 during the trade.

Aurobindo Pharma

Shares of the company rose after it announced that the company has received final approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Loperamide Hydrochloride Tablet, 2 mg. This product is expected to be launched in Q4 FY2015-16.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 832, higher by 1.41 per cent on NSE. It touched na intra-day high of Rs  836 during the trade.

Reliance Infra

Reliance Infrastructure announced the closing of the open offer period for the acquisition of Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering Co. Ltd. (PDOC).

RInfra will acquire sole management control of PDOC, and the Board of PDOC will be reconstituted, together with the Company being renamed Reliance Defence and Engineering Ltd.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 442, higher by 1.35 per cent on NSE. It touched na intra-day high of Rs  443 during the trade.

Anuh Pharma

Shares of Anuh Pharma gains over 6 per cent on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the pharmaceutical company said that it has received World Health Organization (WHO) prequalification for the product Sulfadoxine.

The stock ended the trade at Rs 330, higher by 6.03 per cent on NSE. It touched na intra-day high of Rs 440during the trade.
