Shares of Bharti Infratel rallied over 5 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after its parent company Bharti Airtel acquired 74 per cent capital of Augere Wireless Broadband India Pvt Ltd (Augere).
In the month of August, Bharti Airtel had signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 per cent equity stake in Augere, which holds 20 MHz of BWA spectrum in the telecom circle of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Outperforming benchmark indices, shares of company gained as much as 5.10 per cent in intra-day trade to Rs 436.40 India apiece on BSE today.
In a similar trend, stocks of company advanced 3.99 per cent to trade at 431.70 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 26,086.96, up 7.48 points, or 0.03 per cent, at 11:10 hours.
