The 30-share benchmark index ended trade at 26396.77 , lower by 238.98 points, while the NSE Nifty was at 8110.60, down by  59.45 points. Asian peers ended the day in red ahead of the US Federal Reserve meet due to begin on Tuesday. Meanwhile, European counters were also seen trading red.

Minda Industries

Auto component manufacturer Minda Industries has said that it has completed acquisition of the global lighting business of Spain-based Rinder Group for Euro 20 million.

The stock ended the day at Rs 1155, lower by 1.43 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 1175 during the trade.

Tata Power

The company said that it has said that it will acquire Welspun Energy's subsidiary, Welspun Renewable Energy Pvt (WREPL) for an undisclosed amount. 

The stock ended the day at Rs 75.75, lower by 0.33 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high and 52-week high at Rs 77.95 during the trade.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories 

Shares in Dr Reddy's gained ground after the company said that it had acquired the products portfolio from Teva.

The stock ended the day at Rs 3086., higher by 0.70 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 3100 during the trade.

Fortis Healthcare 

The company has got order from Directorate General of Health Services (DHS) to deposit Rs 503.4 crore towards recovery of unwarranted profit made by unit.

The stock ended the day at Rs 165.10, lower by 1.84 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low of Rs 160 during the trade.
