Stocks That Were In News On June 28, 2016

The key domestic benchmark indices ended the trade in positive zone. The 30-share benchmark index ended trade at 26524.55, higher by 121.59 points, while the NSE Nifty was at 8127.85, up by 33.15 points.

On the global front, Asian peers ended the day on a mixed note. While European counters were trading in positive terrain.

Hotel Leela Venture

Shares of Hotel Leela Venture surged after media reported that the company is in talks to monetise its land located at Hyderabad. 

Shares of the company ended the trade at Rs 17.90, higher by 2.58 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 18.85 during the trade.

Gujarat Gas

Gujarat Gas said that it has received permission from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to develop city gas distribution network (CGD) in Ahmedabad district.

Shares of the company ended the trade at Rs 556, higher by 6.50 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 574 during the trade.

Punj Lloyd

Shares of Punj Lloyd rallied after the company said that Singapore High Court has approved in its hearing dated June 27, 2016 the application for placing both PLPL and SEC under Judicial Management.

Shares of the company ended the trade at Rs 21.30, higher by 6.77 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 22.35 during the trade. 

Tata Communications

Shares of Tata Communications rose after Liquid Telecom, a pan-African telecoms group, majority owned by Econet Wireless Global, has entered into an agreement to acquire South African communications network operator Neotel.

Shares of the company ended the trade at Rs 457, higher by 1.65 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 486 during the trade.

 

HT Media

The company informed that HT Overseas, a Company incorporated in Singapore and wholly owned step-down subsidiary of HT Media Limited, shall make an investment in Sports Asia, a Singapore based company.

Shares of the company ended the trade at Rs 77.65, lower by 0.89 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 82.50 during the trade.

Trent

Share prices of Trent surged after the company announced the sub-division of its share. The company said that it has approved the sub-division of its equity shares of face value of Rs 10 per share into equity shares having a face value of Re 1 each.

Shares of the company ended the trade at Rs 1768, higher by 5.40 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 1842 during the trade.

 

Bharti Infratel

Bharti Infratel shares gained after the company announced schedule for buyback of shares.

Shares of the company ended the trade at Rs337, higher by 2.95 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 340 during the trade.
