Key domestic benchmark indices ended trade lower ahead of GST vote in the Rajya Sabha. The 30-share benchmark index ended trade lower by 284.20 points to end at 27697.51; The Nifty ended trade at 8544.85, down by 78.05 points.
Shares of HCL Tech rose after it reported a net profit of Rs 2047 crores, which was way above estimates of around Rs 1,800 crores. Revenues at the company increased by 6 per cent, at Rs 11,336 crore on sequential basis.
HCL Tech shares ended the day at Rs 2825, higher by 3.16 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 869 during trade.
Larsen & Toubro Infotech ended the day at Rs 680, lower by 0.42 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 2687 and low of Rs 679 during trade.
The company has said that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Pegasystems.
Insecticides India said that it has entered into agreement with Hyderabad Chemical, a subsidiary of Nihon Nohyaku Company, Japan for marketing the product SUZUKA within territory of India.

Shares of Torrent Power rose despite poor Q1 numbers for quarter ending June 30, 2016. Torrent Power reported a 79.55 percent drop in consolidated net profit to Rs 45.62 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016.

Titan's profit fell 16.3 percent to Rs 126.69 crore in Q1 from Rs 151.5 crore in corresponding quarter last fiscal.
