Apollo Tyres

Apollo Tyres plans to double the capacity at its Chennai plant at an investment of around Rs 2,700 crore, a top official said as per the PTI report.

Apollo Tyres shares ended trade at Rs 215, higher by 0.80 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high and 52-week high of Rs 220 during trade.

Reliance Communications

Reliance Communications and Maxis Communications Berhad ("MCB"), promoters of Aircel Limited announced the merger of their Indian wireless businesses which will be the largest-ever consolidation in the Indian telecom sector.

Reliance Communications shares ended trade at Rs 49.80, lower by 2.45 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low of Rs 49.35 during trade.

Ashok Leyland

Shares of Ashok Leyland after the company announced merger with Hinduja Foundries. Ashok Leyland shares ended trade at Rs 81.55, lower by 3.55 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low of Rs 80.60 during trade.

Bayer Cropscience

Shares of Bayer Cropscience jumped to hit 52-week high after Bayer AG and global biotech major Monsanto signed a definitive merger agreement in an all-cash transaction.

Bayer Cropscience shares ended at Rs 4138, higher by 0.67 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high and 52-week high of Rs 4380 during trade.

SBI

State Bank of India (SBI) said that it has raised USD 300 million (about Rs 2000 crore) through bonds from overseas investors to fund its business growth. Shares of SBI ended trade at Rs 255.80, lower by 0.70 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low of Rs 254.20 during trade.
