Markets Open Higher; TCS Flat Post Results
Benchmark indices opened the day marginally higher, as Asian markets saw some recovery in early trade.
TCS on the other hand, which dipped by near 2 per cent in early trade, following results which were declared after market hours on Thursday, managed to gain ground.
The stock was last trading at Rs 2318, after dipping to as much as Rs 2296 earlier in trade. Banking stocks, which witnessed large scale selling pressure on Thursday, managed to hold ground and most of the stocks were trading in the green.
Early gainers fro the space were Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank and Punjab National Bank. Meanwhile, the rupee opened at 66.86 to the US dollar.
