On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras on Friday, October 28, 2016, the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchanges are conducting Extended Live Trading session in Gold Exchange Traded Funds and Sovereign Gold Bond till 7 PM.
" The Exchange is conducting an extended live trading session on Friday, October 28, 2016 on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras for trading in Gold Exchange Traded Fund (Gold ETF) and Sovereign Gold Bonds only," the NSE press release said.
Trading in gold ETFs will resume at 4.30 PM on October 28 and continue till 7 PM the exchange said. It is important to note that the closing session will not be available for Gold ETF and Sovereign Gold Bonds.
Gold Exchange Traded Funds popularly know as Gold ETFs are mutual funds which are listed on Stock Exchanges like BSE and NSE, where you can buy and sell them.
Sovereign Gold Bonds are Government securities denominated in multiples of gram(s) of gold. These can be considered as a substitute for investment in physical gold.
Also, the exchange will conduct 'muhurat' trading session on account of Diwali Laxmi Pujan on October 30 from 1830 hrs to 1930 hrs, reports PTI.
