Real estate Stocks
Real Estate stocks on Wednesday plunged after the government announced that the Rs 500, Rs 1000 notes will no longer be legal tender from the midnight of 8th November 2016.
Shares of leading realty companies such as Godrej Properties, DLF, Indiabulls Real Estate, Sobha, Oberoi, HDIL and Unitech were down 12-20 percent.
Gold Companies Stocks
Jewellery stocks today plunged following the government's move to withdraw notes of higher denominations.
Shares of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri were trading sharply lower by 16.83 per cent, Gitanjali Gems plunged 13.02 per cent, PC Jeweller tanked 12.79 per cent, Tara Jewels slipped 6.75 per cent and Rajesh Exports dropped 5.72 per cent on BSE, reports PTI.
IT company stocks
IT leaders such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra were down 3- 5% as worries that Donald Trump will curb H1B visas.
Shares of Lupin rose on Wednesday after the company reported profit up by 57.7 percent year-on-year to Rs 662.2 crore.
Lupin shares ended trade at Rs 1536, higher by 1.77 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high of Rs 1,563 during trade.
Shares of Va Tech Wabag soared after the company reported net profit up 69 percent at Rs 24 crore against Rs 14.2 crore (YoY).
Va Tech Wabag shares ended trade at Rs 497, higher by 6.28 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high of Rs 517 during trade.
