RIL Hits Record High on Shareholding Rejig

Shares of Reliance Industries continued their gaining momentum and jumped over 4 per cent, hitting fresh 52-week high, on the Bombay Stock Exchange after Mukesh Ambani-led promoter group entities announced to restructure their shareholding in the company through an inter-se transfer of shares.

Boosting by the development, shares of company gained as much as 4.42 per cent and touched 52-week high in the intra-day trade to Rs 1287.80 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar fashion, stocks of company rose 2.51 per cent to Rs 1,267.80 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 28,758.71, down 81.08 points, or 0.28 per cent, at 11:35 hours.
