As indicated in the name the ICICI Pru Capital Protection Oriented Fund Series IV Plan F- 60 months is a capital protection oriented fund, which aims to protect the capital. Thus, the scheme will invest a portion of its portfolio in highest rated debt securities and money market instruments and also to provide capital appreciation by investing the balance in equity and equity related securities.

The scheme offers regular dividend as well as cumulative scheme, though the latter might not be tax efficient.

LIC Nomura Capital Protection Oriented Fund Series 1- 36 months

LIC Nomura's Capital Protection Oriented Fund is not too different from other capital protection oriented funds. The new fund offer is already open and will close on Nov 25.

Reliance Close Ended Equity Series A

Reliance Mutual fund's Reliance close-ended equity fund- series A -- having a five year lock-in period would invest across all market caps to retain the flexibility in portfolio adjustment.
