Rupee Opens Lower at 62.49 as Weak Global Cues Persist
The rupee today opened weaker as global cues were not too encouraging. The currency was trading lower by 20 paise at 62.49 to the dollar as against its previous close of 62.29 to the dollar.
Global cues were negative especially after the rout faced by crude oil. Markets across the globe have seen huge selling pressure affecting the currency markets as well.
The rupee is expected to remain weak and dealers now fear that it might hit the 63 levels mark. The currency has been trading in the 61-62 range for sometime now. Check rupee rates here
