The yellow metal began the fresh week on a bullish stance with all the purities of registering a spike in prices. Gold prices in big metro cities like Bangalore and Chennai are now available at higher rates, so people planning to buy jewellery may have to wait for the prices to drop.

Gold in the international market also surged near $4,100 an ounce today as crude oil prices fell below $85 per barrel due to the pause in the US-Iran war in the last two days.

As per Trading Economics, "The US suspended its nearly two-week campaign of strikes against Iran beginning late Friday without an official announcement, while Tehran said it had ended its retaliatory strikes in response and held discussions with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Gold struggled in recent weeks amid escalating hostilities in the Middle East, with supply disruption spreading from the Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea."

On the MCX front, both gold and silver prices are surging sharply in early trade on Monday morning. Gold futures surged 0,60%, while silver futures spiked almost 1%.

Gold prices in Bangalore Today, July 27

Gold rates in Bangalore today for 10 grams of 24-karat gold are currently at Rs. 1,45,890 after rising by Rs. 960 per 10 grams. The 22-carat gold rates in Bangalore also increased by Rs. 850 per 10 grams to cost Rs. 1,33,700 .The cheaper variant, or the 18-carat gold, now costs Rs. 1,09,390, which zoomed by 690per gram.

100 grams of 24-carat gold rates in Bangalore are now at Rs. 14,58,900, while the 22-carat gold in Bangalore cost Rs. 13,37,000.

Gold prices in Chennai Today, July 27

As of today, the 24-carat gold price in Chennai for 10 grams surged by Rs. 770, bringing it to Rs. 1,45,860. The 22-carat gold price also spiked, increasing by Rs. 700 per 10 grams to stand at Rs. 1,33,700. Similarly, 18-carat gold also surged today by Rs. 700 per 10 grams to reach Rs. 1,11,850.

Gold & Silver Surge on MCX

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, both precious metals are trading in the green zone today. MCX Gold August 5th futures surged by Rs. 922 or 0.64% to trade at Rs. 1,44,028 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, MCX Silver September 4th futures spiked by Rs. 2065 or 0.93% to Rs. 2,24,021 per kg.

According to ICICI Direct Bullion Outlook, "MCX Gold August is expected to rise towards Rs. 145,000 level as long as it holds above Rs.141,5000 level. MCX Silver September is expected to rise towards Rs, 226,000-Rs .228,000 level as long as it stays above Rs. 222,000 level.
