Bank of Baroda Q1 Result: Shares of Bank of Baroda will remain in focus on Monday, July 27, after the public sector lender reported 72% fall in its net profit in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27.
The PSU bank stock closed 1.48% higher at Rs 246.6 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,27,525.79 crore. The stock had touched an intraday high of Rs 247.10 per share and an intraday low of Rs 239.30 per share.
Bank of Baroda Q1 Result
The Gujarat-headquartered PSU reported a 70% year-on-year decline in its net consolidated profit to Rs 1278 crore in Q1FY27 against Rs 4541 crore in the year-ago period. The PSU lender reported a total income of Rs 36681 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 35766 crore in the year-ago period.
Bank Of Baroda Q1 Result | One Time Settlement
The bank reported a loss due to a one-time cost of Rs 5,700 crore due to the out-of-court settlement with the joint administrators of United Arab Emirates-based NMC Health. The net profit in the year-period also stood at Rs 4,541 crore.
Bank of Baroda Retail Advances, CASA Growth
Bank of Baroda's organic retail advances surged by 18.4% on an annual basis. The growth was driven across segments like auto loan (25.3%), mortgage loan (27.4%), home loan (14.7%), and education loan (10.8%).
Bank of Baroda's global deposits saw a growth of around 13.8% on an annual basis, and domestic deposits were 14.7% higher. Domestic CASA deposits registered a robust growth of 10% on an annual basis, as they stood at Rs 5,21,149 crore.
Bank of Baroda Q1 Result NII Growth
Bank of Baroda's net interest income (NII) for the quarter surged by 9.5% on an annual basis and stood at Rs 12,524 crore. The net interest income for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 3,470 crore due to Treasury Income of Rs 893 crore. Recovery from written-off accounts was Rs 1,006 crore and PSLC income of Rs 280 crore during the quarter. Its global net interest margin (NIM) for Q1FY27 stood at 2.77%. The domestic net interest margin (NIM) stood at 2.93% for the June quarter of FY27.
