Defence Multibagger Stock Alert: Apollo Micro Systems, on Tuesday, announced that it has entered into a new segment in the defence with its partnership with the Indian Air Force. The defence tech player was shortlisted and empanelled by the Indian Air Force (IAF) as the Prime Development Agency for the indigenous precision extension kit program.
Apollo Micro Systems share price closed 3.82% lower at Rs 377.95 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 14,044.60 crore on Tuesday. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of Rs 392.65 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 375.00 per share.
Apollo Micro Systems Business Update
Apollo Micro Systems Limited is now empanelled with the Indian Air Force for the Indigenous Precision Range Extension Kit (IPREK) programme. This development would mark its entry into India's precision guided munition (PGM) segment.
About Make II Programme
It is a sub-category of one of India's most progressive defence procurement pathways under DAP-2020.Under the programme, private defence players are invited to invest in the design and development of advanced military systems at their own cost.
"For Apollo Micro Systems, this empanelment is more than a programme win. It is the Indian Air Force's formal endorsement of AMS as the company capable of designing, developing, and delivering a world-class precision guided weapon system entirely from Indian soil," stated the company in its press release.
IPREK is a bolt-on precision guidance and range extension kit designed to transform India's existing inventory of General Purpose (GP) 500 Kg unguided bombs into long-range precision glide weapons.
Apollo Micro Systems Share Price Trend
The stock closed lower on Tuesday. Its share price value touched its 52-week high mark of Rs 466.70 per share on July 3, 2026. The stock dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 162.25 per share on July 28, 2025. The defence stock has a return on equity (ROE) of 14.21%. The scrip has delivered close to 37% return in 2026 so far and around 587% return in three years.
