IndiGo Share Q1 Result Review And Outlook

IndiGo's Q1 performance was impacted by the West Asia crisis-led crude oil price rally. The elevated fuel cost weighed on EBITDAR and profit margins; however, the company delivered 21% YoY growth in yield, highlighted Motilal Oswal in its report.

InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) reported a 34% decline in EBITDAR to Rs 37.5 billion due to higher fuel costs.

"Despite continued near-term headwinds from the Middle East airspace disruptions, high fuel costs, INR depreciation, and higher damp-lease exposure, we remain confident in INDIGO's growth strategy, anchored by India's strong domestic demand base and steadily expanding international network," stated Motilal Oswal in its report released on Friday.

IndiGo Share Price Recommendation

Despite loss in the first quarter of FY27, Motilal Oswal maintained its bullish stance on the stock with a 'Buy' rating and a target price of Rs 6,580 per share. "Factoring in the restart of the Middle East conflict, which is leading to higher Brent and cracking margins, we cut our FY27 EBITDAR estimate by 12%, while we largely maintain FY28 estimates. We value the stock at 10x FY28E EBITDAR to arrive at our TP of INR6,580. Reiterate BUY."
