The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 92 crore during the June quarter, up 268% from Rs 25 crore reported in the corresponding period last year. However, profit declined from Rs 174 crore in the March quarter as the company continued to invest in expanding its fast-growing businesses.
Eternal Q1 Results: B2C NOV Grows 54%
Eternal's revenue from operations climbed to Rs 20,211 crore during the April-June quarter, compared with Rs 7,167 crore in the year-ago period. The sharp increase was largely driven by Blinkit's transition to a first-party (1P) operating model, under which the company records the full value of goods sold as revenue.
The company's consolidated adjusted revenue increased 173% year-on-year and 17% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 20,648 crore.
Business activity remained healthy across platforms, with consolidated Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Net Order Value (NOV) rising 54% year-on-year to Rs 31,120 crore, reflecting sustained customer demand across food delivery, quick commerce and the going-out business.
Operational performance also improved significantly during the quarter. Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation) rose 223% year-on-year and 29% sequentially to Rs 555 crore.
Blinkit's Net Order Value Jumps 86%, Store Expansion Continues
Blinkit remained Eternal's fastest-growing business during the June quarter. The quick commerce platform reported an 86% year-on-year increase in Net Order Value to Rs 17,132 crore, supported by higher customer demand, expansion of its dark store network and improving order volumes.
During the quarter, the company added 200 net new dark stores, taking Blinkit's total store count to 2,443. The larger network helped strengthen delivery capabilities across key markets while improving scale.
Blinkit also continued to improve its operating performance, benefiting from better operating leverage as order volumes increased.
Zomato Food Delivery Business Maintains Healthy Growth
Eternal's food delivery business, which continues to operate under the Zomato brand, delivered another steady quarter. Net Order Value from the food delivery segment rose to Rs 10,769 crore, registering growth of more than 20% year-on-year. The company said this marked the fifth consecutive quarter of improving growth momentum for the business.
The segment also remained the company's biggest contributor to operating profitability, supported by higher order volumes and improved operating efficiencies.
District and Hyperpure Continue to Expand
The company's going-out business, District, also reported strong growth during the June quarter. District's Net Order Value increased 60% year-on-year and 18% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 3,218 crore, reflecting growing consumer demand across dining, entertainment and lifestyle services.
Meanwhile, Hyperpure, Eternal's business-to-business restaurant supply platform, reported revenue of Rs 1,034 crore. On a like-for-like basis, revenue grew 27% year-on-year and 6% sequentially, while the business continued to improve its operational efficiency.
Eternal Announces Internal Business Restructuring
The company has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement with its wholly owned subsidiary, Carthero Technologies Private Limited, to transfer the business operating under the "Nugget by Zomato" brand. Since Carthero is a wholly owned subsidiary, the transaction is part of an internal reorganisation aimed at streamlining operations within the group.
