In April, the Kerala government has declared a holiday on the following days. On April 2, on account of Good Friday; April 10, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; April 14, on account of Vishu and Dr Ambedkar Jayanti; April 24, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday.

The banks will remain closed on the second and fourth week of Saturday as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India.
Nationalised banks, private banks, public sector banks, commercial and co-operative banks will remain closed on these days throughout India.
All the banks including Citi Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC Bank and United Bank of India will remain closed on all the bank holidays.
Good Friday: It is on this day that Jesus was crucified on the cross on the orders of the Roman Governor. This day represents the sacrifice and sufferings of Jesus Christ's life. The day is observed during the Holy week of Friday before Easter Sunday, and it coincides with Passover. The day is observed as Black Day or Black Friday by Christians across the globe.
