Banks will be closed on August 15th as a national holiday due to the celebration of Independence Day, while they will also be closed on August 26th due to the occasion of Janmashtami. Further, there will be holidays on August 10th and 24th on account of second and fourth Saturday of the month. While, August of 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th will also be holiday for banks in this region due these days being Sundays. Generally, banks are closed either national or state level under three categories such as Negotiable Instruments Act, Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
