Independence Day: The Independence Day is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm across the country. The day reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the dawn of an era of deliverance from the clutches of the harrowing British Colonialism rule which lasted for more than 200 years. It was on August 15, 1947, that India was declared independent from the British rule and the reins of control were handed over to the leaders of the Country after witnessing sacrifices from many freedom fighters who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle.
