In December, the Haryana government has announced holidays on the following days. December 14, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; December 25, on account of Christmas, December 26 on account of Shaheed Udham Singh Jayanti, and December 28, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday.

All the banks in Haryana will remain closed on the above-mentioned days. The banks will not perform the usual functioning on these days. All the banks including IndusInd Bank, Federal Bank, Nainital Bank and Union Bank of India will remain closed on the bank holidays.
Christmas: It is a Christian festival. It is a public holiday. The day marks the birth of Jesus Christ, who is considered the central figure in Christianity. Midnight mass will be held at various churches in the city. People worship him as the incarnation of God the Son. Special prayers will be held on the eve of the Christmas and carols will be sung after the mass. Christmas Cribs will be made and displayed along with wide beautiful decorations in various churches to represent the birth of Jesus Christ. People of all age groups throng the churches to have a glimpse of Infant Jesus. Special festival dishes like cakes, homemade wine, puddings, cookies, meat dishes, kulkuls and so on will be prepared.
