In February, the government of Chattisgarh declared holidays on February 11, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; February 18, on account of Maha Shivratri and on February 25, the fourth week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday.

All the banks including Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Syrian Catholic Bank, and Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited will remain closed on the bank holidays.
Maha Shivratri: This festival is celebrated in honour of Lord Shiva. It is a festival which is celebrated annually. The day is observed by remembering Lord Shiva, fasting, chanting prayers, and meditating on ethics and virtues such as honesty, self-resistant, noninjury to others, and forgiveness. Many people will do Jagran (being awake throughout the night), and one can witness an all-night vigil at Shiva temples across the country.
Rajim Kumbh Mela: The Rajim Kumbh mela is a fifteen-day event starting from Magh Purnima. The event will start on February 10 and will end on March 11 in Rajim, situated near the convergence of Pairi, Mahanadi and Sondur rivers. The event will witness a huge gathering of Vaishavite followers. The Rajimalochana Temple is the venue for this mela.
Many saints and religious preachers from the nuke and corners of the country will attend this event which is popularly known as the fifth Kumbh mela.
As a part of the celebrations, many cultural programmes will be organized. The event will also witness a performance from several dancers and singers. Local artists will enact dramas for the gathered crowd.
All the banks in Chattisgarh will function as usual during the Rajim Kumbh Mela.
