In February, the government of Rajasthan has declared bank holidays on February 8, on account of the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; February 21, on account of Maha Shivratri and on February 22, on account of the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday.

All the banks including Canara Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda and Punjab and Sind Bank will remain closed on the bank holidays.
Maha Shivratri: It is a Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The term Shivaratri refers to the great night of Shiva or the night of Shiva. On this day, people observe fast and stay awake during night time as it marks the night when Lord Shiva performed the ‘Tandava’. A large number of devotees throng temples dedicated to Lord Shiva on this day. Special poojas and aartis will be performed at Bhand Deva Temple, Chomukha Bhairavji Temple, Naldeshwar Temple, Ghushmeshwar Jyotirlinga Shivalaya Temple, Parashuram Mahadev Temple, Bisaldeo Temple, Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple and so on and seek blessings of Lord Shiva.
