In January, the Chhattisgarh government has announced holidays on the following days. January 11, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; January 25, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday and January 26, on account of Republic Day.

All the banks in Chhattisgarh will remain closed on the above mentioned days.The banks will not perform the usual functioning on these days. All the banks including DCB Bank, Catholic Syrian Bank, Karnataka Bank and UCO Bank will remain closed on the bank holidays.
Republic Day: It is a National Festival. The main celebrations take place in Red Fort, Delhi. Apart from this all the state governments also celebrate the event with good spirit by organizing several cultural activities. The day marks the adoption of the Constitution of India to govern the country replacing the previously followed Government of India Act of 1935. India adopted the Constitution on November 26, 1949, and the same came into effect starting from January 26, 1950, and hence the Republic Day is observed on January 26 on an annual basis.
The Governor of the state hoists the tricolour flag on this day. Several gallantry awards will be honoured on the policemen and brave hearts for their courageous act on this day. Many youth and school children will perform cultural activities to mark the event. Renowned musicians will pay tribute to the nation through their performances which will be attended by a huge gathering on this day.
