In July, the Andhra Pradesh government announced holidays on the following days. July 8, the second week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday; July 22, the fourth week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday; July 29, on account of Ashura.

During these two days, there will be no banking transactions at the branch level across all the banks in Andhra Pradesh. All the banks including Dena Bank, Vijaya Bank, Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India, and ICICI Bank will remain closed during these two days.
Ashura/ Muharram: It is a Muslim festival. Muharram is a public holiday in Andhra Pradesh. It is the first month of the Islamic calendar. Few Muslims fast during the daytime on the ninth and 10th days of the month or the 10th and 11th days of the month. Some of them do attend special prayer meetings in private homes or mosques.
