In July, the Delhi government announced holidays on the following days. July 8, the second week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday; July 22, the fourth week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday and July 29, on account of Ashura.

During these two days, there will be no banking transactions at the branch level across all the banks in Karnataka. All the banks including Federal Bank, IDBI Bank, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank will remain closed during these two days.

The first month of the Islamic calendar year is considered to be the holiest month for Muslims. Muharram, the word means forbidden.
