In July, the Kerala government has announced holidays on the following days. July 10, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; July 20, on account of Eid; July 24, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday.

During these two days, there will be no banking transactions at branch level across all the banks in Kerala.
All the banks including Canara Bank, Corporation Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, ICICI Bank, Catholic Syrian Bank will remain closed during these two days.
Eid-al-Fitr: It is a Muslim festival. The festival is celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm by the people all around the world. Muslims observe fast from early morning till sunset. They break the fast after sighting moon during evening time post sunset. During this time Muslims perform formal prayers known as Salah for five times per day. During Ramzan, there will be an extra Salah known as Tarawih during night time. At evening after sighting moon, Muslims will break there fast by eating dates along with water or juice or with buttermilk. They later get together with family and relatives for Iftar. Iftar is an evening meal with which Muslims usually end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset.
