In June, the government of Bihar declared holidays during the following days. June 10, the second week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday; June 24, the fourth week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday; June 29, on account of Bakrid.

The second and the fourth week of Saturday are declared as Bank Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881. During these two days, all the banks in the country including Allahabad Bank, ICICI Bank, Dena Bank, and Indian Bank will remain closed, and there will be banking transactions at the branch level.
Vat Savitri Vrat: Vat Savitri Vrat is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in the country. The puja is performed to pay respect to Sati Savitri's determination and devotion to bringing her husband back to life. She managed to plead Lord of Death – Yama, to give life to her husband through her sheer devotion.
On this day, married women observe rituals like, they wake up early in the morning, take bath, observing fast and wearing new clothes. They apply vermilion on their foreheads and perform various rituals. Rice, water, wet pulses, bananas, and fruits will be offered as bhog. After completion of the puja, they break the fast and consume bhog as prasad.
Bakrid: Eid–ul-Adha is also called as Bakrid. The day is celebrated to honour Prophet Abraham. It is believed that Abraham was a great devotee of God and he was tested for the same. He was asked to sacrifice his only son. Abraham or Ibrahim followed the command of God and was ready to sacrifice his son. Later, God intervened and during the act, a lamb was sacrificed instead of Ibrahim’s son. The day is marked by sacrificing an animal or lamb and is divided into three parts.
One share is kept for the family and the remaining will be shared with the poor and needy people.
