In June, the government of Gujarat declared bank holidays during the following days. June 10, the second week of Saturday is a Bank Holiday; June 24, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; June 29, on account of Bakrid.

The second week and the fourth week of Saturday are considered public holidays. On these two days, all the banks including Dena Bank, Corporation Bank, IndusInd Bank and so on will remain closed.
Rath Yatra: Rath Yatra is one of the most famous festivals in Gujarat and takes place in Ahmedabad. It is an annual fair wherein the main highlight is the procession which will be led by an ornate chariot. The grand procession comprises of three separate chariots each dedicated to Lord Krishna, his brother Balarama and their sister Subhadra. On Rath Yatra day, all the banks will function as usual and there will be no bank holiday on this day.
Bakrid: Eid–ul-Adha is also called as Bakrid. The day is celebrated to honour Prophet Abraham. It is believed that Abraham was a great devotee of God and he was tested for the same. He was asked to sacrifice his only son. Abraham or Ibrahim followed the command of God and was ready to sacrifice his son. Later, God intervened and during the act, a lamb was sacrificed instead of Ibrahim’s son. The day is marked by sacrificing an animal or lamb and is divided into three parts. One share is kept for the family and the remaining will be shared with the poor and needy people.
