It is organized by the state government with dancers showcasing their performance at the backdrop of the world-famous Pattadakal temples. The temple came into existence in 7th - 8th Century by Chalukya rulers. The venue for the dance festival is located in the banks of river Malaprabha. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features styles of both North India and South India. One can get to see the enchanting architecture styles carved on the walls of the temple.

Bakrid: Eid–ul-Adha is also called as Bakrid. The day is celebrated to honour Prophet Abraham. It is believed that Abraham was a great devotee of God and he was tested for the same. He was asked to sacrifice his only son. Abraham or Ibrahim followed the command of God and was ready to sacrifice his son. Later, God intervened and during the act, a lamb was sacrificed instead of Ibrahim’s son. The day is marked by sacrificing an animal or lamb and is divided into three parts. One share is kept for the family and the remaining will be shared with the poor and needy people.
