Bank Holidays in Rajasthan during March

All the banks including IDBI Bank, ICICI Bank, DCB Bank and Karnataka Bank will remain closed on the second week and fourth week of Saturday.

Holi: Holi is a perfect occasion and celebration that matches the identity and character of Rajasthan. Preparation for the festival begins days before the actual festival, and people brace themselves up to indulge in various rituals and customs. The celebration of colours is celebrated differently with lots of rituals involved which makes the festival look much more colourful and impressive. It is a state government holiday, and all the banks will remain closed on this day.

Dhulandi Festival: It is celebrated across Rajasthan, on the day after Holika Dahan (the traditional bonfire) to mark the onset of spring. The young and old people can be seen indulging in happiness and celebration by throwing and smearing colours on each other.

Mali Holi is celebrated distinctively and draws a lot of enthusiasm, excitement, and curiosity. The men of the Mali community throw the colours on their women who then respond by hitting them with sticks or else by a long piece of cloth.

Dolchi Holi is celebrated in Bikaner, Rajasthan. It is a slightly different form of Holi. It is observed by the Harsh and Vyas communities of Rajasthan. The celebration involves people throwing water on each other in a specially made vessel called Dolchi, manufactured from camel skin.

The water is thrown only on the back of the individual and not on the front. They do not use colours, and it is played only by the men of both communities, while the women and children look over.
The erstwhile Royal community of Rajasthan has their way to celebrate Holi with the locals. On this occasion, members of the royal family come out in dazzling attires and mingle with the commoners.
