In November, the Andhra Pradesh government announced holidays on the following days. November 11, the second week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday; November 12, on account of Deepavali and November 25, the fourth week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday.

All the banks in Andhra Pradesh will remain closed on the above-mentioned days. The banks will not perform the usual functioning on these days. All the banks including Vijaya Bank, Punjab National Bank, Citi Bank and HDFC Bank will remain closed on the bank holidays.
Deepavali: It is a Hindu festival. The festival marks the homecoming of Lord Rama after 14 years of exile, people also worship Goddess Lakshmi on this day and invoke her blessings. Homes will be cleaned and decorated well in advance before the commencement of the festival. Special puja will be performed on this day. People wake up early in the morning and take an oil bath on this day, after this, they wear new clothes and perform pooja. Children will be eagerly waiting for this day to celebrate the festival in a grand way by bursting crackers and gorging on special delicacies which will be prepared on this day. Desserts like Karijalu, Ariselu, Shahi Tukda Phirni, Pootharekulu, Qubani Ka Meetha and so on will be prepared during Diwali.
