Bank Holidays in Kerala in November

In November, except for regular holidays, banks will function as normal days in the state. One should always keep track of the bank holiday calendar 2024, so that your financial tasks are completed on time.

Except for gazetted holidays, banks are not the same across all the states in India. State-specific bank holidays in Kerala include Onam and Vishu. If Banks in Kerala are closed on the occasion of Onam it does not mean banks are also closed in other parts of the country.

All the banks including Karnataka Bank, Federal Bank, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, and Lakshmi Vilas Bank will remain closed on the bank holidays.

Deepavali: It is a Hindu festival. The festival is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Here the festival is observed a day prior to the New Moon Day as per the Malayalam month of Thulum. It is the time when the Sun enters the Thula house (Libra) which signifies commerce and hence the festival is associated with the Goddess of Wealth. The festival of light helps in dispelling the darkness and brings in knowledge. The day begins with a ritualistic oil bath which will be followed by a sumptuous meal and lightning of lamps and bursting of crackers in the evening.
