Bank Holidays in November 2024 in Tripura

In November, the Tripura government have only announced three holidays on the following days. Novermber 1st on account of the major Hindu festival of lights, Diwali; November 9th, the second week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday; and November 23rd, the fourth week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday in Tripura for 2024.

All the banks in Tripura will remain closed on the above-mentioned days. The banks will not perform the usual functioning on these days. All the banks including HSBC Bank, Dena Bank, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, and RBL Bank will remain closed on the bank holidays and customers can make use of online banking services or mobile applications to ensure immediate services like bank transfers, bill payments, fixed deposit enquiry and all are met.

Deepawali: It is a Hindu festival. It is popularly known as the Festival of Lights. The festival is celebrated over a period of five days starting from Dhanteras, Narak Chaturdashi, Laxmi Pooja, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj. To mark the occasion of Deepawali, earthen lamps will be illuminated and set to float on the River Ganges in Benaras. People wake up early in the morning, wear new clothes, visit temples, friends and relatives and exchange sweet delicacies with near and dear ones on this day. As the day marks the beginning of the new year, any kind of important new beginnings will be done on this day. Mouthwatering sweets like Kaju katli, Khaja, Shrikhand, and Jalebi will be prepared on this day which visitors can be a part of enjoy if they visit this culturally rich state during public and bank holidays in Tripura.
