Bank Holidays in September 2024 in Haryana

In September, the Haryana government announced holidays on the following days. September 14, the second week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday, September 16, on account of Eid-e-Milad; September 23 on account of Heroes Martyrdom Day, and September 28, fourth week of Saturday as a Bank Holiday.

Bank Holidays in Haryana during September

All the banks in Haryana will remain closed on the above-mentioned days. The banks will not perform the usual functioning these days. All the banks including City Union Bank, Allahabad Bank, RBL Bank, and Central Bank of India will remain closed on the bank holidays.

Janmashtami: It is a Hindu festival. The festival is celebrated to mark the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is observed on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha during the Hindu month of Shraavana. Temples witness extravagant decorations on this occasion. Raslila will be performed to recreate the incidents of the life of Krishna and Radha. Devotional songs of Lord Krishna and dance mark the celebration. The festival is celebrated with special fervour by the people of Brij Bhoomi in the Faridabad district. Special delicacies will be prepared on this day to mark the occasion.

Shaheedi Divas: Shaheedi Diwas will be observed to pay tributes to our soldiers who attained martyrdom while serving the nation. On this day, public meetings, seminars, and functions will be held. The family member of the martyrs will receive bravery awards on this day along with the mementoes. It is a bank holiday in Haryana and all the banks will remain closed on this day.
