In September, the Rajasthan government has announced holidays on the following days. September 10, on account of Muharram; September 14, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday; September 28, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday.

All the banks in Rajasthan will remain closed on the above mentioned days.
The banks will not perform the usual functioning on these days. All the banks including IDBI Bank, Punjab National Bank, Corporation Bank, Bank of Maharashtra will remain closed on the bank holidays.
Muharram: It is a Muslim festival. It is one of the major festivals of Muslims. The Shias section takes an active part in the festival. It is celebrated to pay respect to the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, Hazrat Imam Hussain. The festival is celebrated in remembrance of the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain. Muharram also happens to be the first month of the Islamic New Year out of the four sacred months as mentioned in “Quran”. Many processions will be taken out on the tenth day of Muharram which is known as Ashurah.
