  • The individual must have a legitimate Aadhaar number that has never previously been linked to another PAN.

  • Individuals do not need to submit or upload any KYC documents because the instant PAN through Aadhaar facility is a paperless operation.
  • Individuals before applying for an instant PAN Card make sure that he or she doesn't have more than one or more PAN Card. The provisions of Section 272B(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 will penalise individuals who have more than one legitimate PAN.

  • Visit https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home and under the 'Quick Links' section, click on 'Instant PAN through Aadhaar which will redirect to the instant PAN allotment page.
  • Now click on 'Get New PAN' which will redirect you to the instant PAN request page.
  • For PAN allocation, enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha code. Before confirming your request, double-check the necessary requirements. To receive the OTP on your registered mobile number, click on the 'Generate Aadhaar OTP' button.
  • Once you've approved to verify your Aadhaar specifics with UIDAI, enter the Aadhaar OTP you got on your registered mobile number and click on the 'Validate Aadhaar OTP and Continue' option.
  • You'll be now redirected to the PAN request submission section, where you'll need to check your Aadhaar specifics and consent to the terms and conditions. To submit a PAN request, click on the 'Submit PAN Request' option.
