The annual payment paid by a landowner/property owner to the municipal corporation of his or her area or local government is known as a property tax. All tangible real estate property, including the individual's home, office building, and property rented to others, is considered property. Individuals who own property in Mumbai can pay property tax online and offline. If you prefer to pay by manual, you can do so at your nearest assistant revenue office, BMC support centers, or citizen facilitation centers located in all ward offices. To avoid any consequences, every property in Mumbai, whether commercial or residential, must pay their Mumbai Property Taxes before the due date.
The municipality in a given area assesses various types of properties in that area in order to determine the tax rate based on their worth. It also determines the appraised value of the property.
