The company has been promoted by Shri V.C.Saraf and Shri R.C.Saraf along with the Remi Group of concerns, and their NRI associates, the Doshi Group of Kenya, together with the Gujarat Industrial Investment Corporation Ltd., in the associate sector and Essar Gujarat Ltd., as Non-core Promoter.

Remi Metals Gujarat Ltd., (RMGL) was incorporated as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956, in the State of Maharashtra under the name and style of Remi Metals Ltd., Pursuant to a Resolution passed at the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting of the members of the company held on 23rd January, 1993 the name of the company was changed to Remi Metals Gujarat Ltd. The immediate object of the company is to implement a Project involving setting up facilities for the manufacture of 70,000 tpa of carbon alloy seamless pipes/tubes as also 100,000 tpa of in-house steel manufactuing and rolling capacity.

2011
-RMG Alloy Steel appointed Shri R. R. Mandawewala as a Director of the Company.

2012
-RMG Alloy Steel appointed Shri Shashank Chaturvedi as an additional director and also as an executive director of the Company.

2013
-RMG Alloy Steel appointed Shri Ashok Jain as a Director of the Company.
-Company has changed its name from Remi Metals Gujarat Ltd to RMG Alloy Steel Ltd.

2019
-Company name has changed to Welspun Specialty Solutions Ltd. from RMG Alloy Steel Ltd.

2020
