YEAR EVENTS
1947 - 4,000 Bonus Equity shares issued in prop. of 1:1.

1949 - 4,000 Right Equity shares issued (prem. Rs.10 per share:
prop. of 1:2)

1962 - In October, 18,000 rights shares issued at par (prop. of 3:2).

1964 - In March, 10,000 Rights Equity shares offered at par in prop. of
1:3. Only 8,000 shares taken up.

1985 - The Company was incorporated at Chennai as Private Limited
Company on 4th November, and was deemed to a public limited
Company from 28th February, 1989. It was converted into a Public
Limited Company on 12th September, 1989. It was promoted by
Carburettors, Ltd. (CL) and Mikuni Corporation, Japan.

- The main object of the Company is to manufacture twin barrel down
draught carburettors for Maruti cars and fuel pumps for Maruti
cars, vans and jeeps.

- The Company entered into a technical collaboration agreement with
Mikuni Corporation and Mikuni Shoka Corporation, Japan, for
supply of know-how to manufacture carburettors for Maruti cars
with an installed capacity of 1.10 Lakh nos. per annum at
Maraimalai Nagar in Chengai Anna district, Tamil nadu. Major
plant and machinery were imported from Mikuni Corporation with
guarantee for performance the balance equipment was acquired
indigenously.

- In the second phase, the Company was to set up facilities for the
manufacture of fuel pumps for maruti cars, vans and jeeps with an
installed capacity of 1 Lakhs nos. per annum.

1988 - 1,90,000 Bonus Equity shares issued in prop. of 1:1.

1990 - With effect from 1st April, The Suncarb Pvt. Ltd., was
amalgamated with the Company. All the Government approvals
issued to Suncarb Private Ltd., were transferred in the name of
the Company.

1991 - The Company took over from Suncarb Pvt. Ltd. the project to
manufacture two wheeler carburettors in technical collaboration
with Mikuni.

1992 - The Company was in the process of implementing a project for the
manufacture of carburettors for portable electric generators in
collaboration with Mikune Corporation, Japan.

2003-Mr. Hiromi Lida has been appointed as Joint Managing Director in place of Mr. Osami Hasegawa whose nomination has been withdrawn by the Company's Collaborator, Mikuni Corporation, Japan.

2004

-Shifts the registered office of the company from 'Raheja Towers', Delta Wing - Unit 505, 177 Anna Salai, Chennai 600 002 to 'Raheja Towers', Delta Wing - Unit 705, 177 Anna Salai, Chennai 600 002. This is w.e.f. March 08, 2004. The telephone number, fax number and e-mail ids remain unchanged.

-Ucal wins Iranian order

2005

-Ucal gets TS certificate

2006

-Started development of products for Diesel application

2007

-Maraimalai Nagar Plant 6 established for machined component. Production of Vacuum pump and Oil pump started

2008

-Best Vendor award from Sona Koyo Steering Systems

-Ucal Fuel Systems Ltd has recommended Dividend of 10%

2009

-Production of Fuel pump started

-BOSCH Supplier Award for maximizing value to the customer

2010

-Ucal Fuel Systems Ltd has recommended Dividend of 10%

-Jayakar Krishnamurthy has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of UCAL
Fuel Systems (UFSL).

2011

-Ms. Rekha Raghunathan has been appointed as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company

-Ucal Fuel Systems Ltd has recommended Dividend of 40% (i.e 4/-per equity share)

2012

-Ucal Fuel Systems Ltd has recommended Dividend of 40% (i.e 4/-per equity share)

2013

-Board has Recommended a dividend of Rs.1per share (i.e.10%) for the year 2013.

2014

-Board has recommended a Dividend of 10% (Rs. 1/- per share of Rs. 10/- each).

2023

-Company name changed to UCAL Ltd. from Ucal Fuel Systems Ltd..
