Bharti Airtel Ltd. Q4 FY11 net profit at Rs.18,379 million
Bharti Airtel Ltd. announced its Standalone audited financial results for the third quarter ending March 31, 2011 on May 5, 2011.

The company recorded a net profit of Rs. 18,379 million for the same period as compared to net profit of Rs. 21,297 million reported during the corresponding period in 2010. This is equivalent to a decline of 13.7%.

Considering the twelve month periods from April- March 2011 into account, the value of the net profit stood at Rs. 77,169 million, as against the value of Rs. 94,262 million reported during the corresponding period.

While, net sales of the company during the quarter ending March 31, 2011 stood at Rs. 98,285 million, as compared to Rs. 89,119 million for corresponding quarter of 2010, i.e. a growth of 10.28% for fourth quarter.

Considering the twelve month period from April-March 2011, into consideration, net sales was reported at Rs. 380,158 million, i.e. a growth of about 6.75% over the corresponding value of Rs. 356,095 million for the year ago period.

Moreover, the standalone EPS of the company during the twelve months i.e. from April - March 2011, decreased to Rs. 20.32 as against Rs. 24.82 in the year ago period of 2010.

On the Segments front, the mobile services segment has contributed Rs. 86,684 million for the quarter ending March 2011 as against Rs. 77,236 million in the corresponding quarter previous year, while telemedia services segment has posted revenue of Rs. 9,138 million as against Rs. 8,425 million, similarly enterprise and other segment contributed Rs. 9,763 million and Rs. 11,114 million for the quarter ending March 2011 in comparison to Rs. 1 million and Rs. 6 million respectively for the year ago period respectively.

On the Consolidated front, the company recorded a net profit of Rs. 14,007 million for the same period as compared to net profit of Rs. 20,444 million reported during the corresponding period in 2010. This is equivalent to a growth of 31.48%.

Considering the twelve month period from April - March 2011 into account, the value of the net profit stood at Rs. 60,467 million, as against the value of Rs. 89,768 million reported during the corresponding period.

While, the net sales of the company during the quarter ending March 31, 2011 stood at Rs. 162,654 million, as compared to Rs. 107,491 million for corresponding quarter of 2010, i.e. a growth of 51.31% for fourth quarter.

Considering the twelve month period from April-March 2011, into consideration, the value for the total income was reported at Rs. 594,672 million, i.e. a growth of about 42.01% over the corresponding value of Rs. 418,472 million for the year ago period.

Moreover, the consolidated EPS of the company during the twelve months i.e. from April - March 2011, decreased to Rs. 15.93 as against Rs. 23.66 in the year ago period of 2010.

On the Segments front, the mobile services segment has contributed Rs. 136,764 million for the quarter ending March 2011 as against Rs. 83,174 million in the corresponding quarter previous year, while telemedia services segment has posted revenue of Rs. 9,178 million as against Rs. 8,510 million.

Meanwhile enterprise segment contributed Rs. 10,179 million in comparison to Rs. 10,768, passive infrastructure services and other segment contributed Rs. 22,010 million and Rs. 19,459 million for the quarter ending March 2011 in comparison to Rs. 3,314 million and Rs. 2,095 million respectively for the year ago period respectively.

Bharti Airtel Ltd Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 05, 2011, inter alia, has considered and recommended a dividend of Re 1/- per equity share of Rs 5/- each for the financial year 2010-11.
