Radico Khaitan Ltd. posted its audited standalone results for fiscal ending March, 2011 on May 14, 2011. It posted an increase in net sales to Rs. 971.36 crore this fiscal compared to Net sales of Rs. 820.98 crore in previous fiscal. The net sales for the quarter ending March, 2011 increased 16.01% to Rs. 247.68 crore compared to Rs. 213.49 crore last year. The company is involved majorly in one business segment which is liquor.
In the results, the company saw a 18.08% YoY rise in its total expenditure for the Q4 ending March, 2011 to Rs. 227.43 crore. This was mainly attributable to higher raw material consumption, other expenditure and selling and distribution charges. Whereas, the total expenditure increased in the fiscal ended March, 2011 by 19.64% to Rs. 874.57 crore compared to similar period last year.
The other income was Rs. 5.49 crore in the Q4, 2010-11 compared to Rs. 1.88 crore for Q4, 2009-10 but decreased to Rs. 11.12 crore for the fiscal ended March, 2011, compared to Rs. 13.14 crore in fiscal ended March, 2010. The company saw an increase in profit after interest but before exceptional item and tax for the Q4 2010-11, of 132% to Rs. 25.08 crore compared to Rs. 10.78 crore in the corresponding period previous year. For the fiscal ended March 2011, the company"s profit after interest but before exceptional item and tax increased by 114.19% to Rs. 99.45 crore, compared to previous fiscal.
The net interest increased for Q4, 2010-11, by 35.36% YoY, to Rs. 10.42 crore and whereas for the fiscal, it decreased by 52.54% to Rs. 33.54 crore. The total tax provision increased by approximately 5.5 times YoY to Rs. 7.65 crore for the quarter and increased to more than three time compared to previous year to Rs. 26.65 crore for the fiscal ended March, 2011.
The company"s Net profit for Q4, 2011 was Rs. 17.43 crore as compared to Rs. 9.60 crore in the corresponding period last year, growth of 81.56%. For the year ending March, 2011 the company posted a net profit of Rs. 71.80 crore, compared to Rs. 41.54 crore last year, growth of 72.85%.
