Moser Bear Solar Limited or MSBL has struck a partnership deal with US distribution company Munro Solar for the supply of its solar photovoltaic modules in the US. The company said that the alliance with the US company would help MSBL in further penetration of the US market as Munro Solar has widespread presence across the US.

Munro is one of the big names in the distribution of electrical, power, lighting and clean energy supplies in the US. Its solar division supplies commercial and residential solar thermal and electrical systems to its customers. Munro distributing are present in 11 locations in the US.

The partnership will allow Munro Distributing to supply its customers with easy to use and cost effective MSBL'S multi-crystalline silicon solar modules. Its professional team will assist the clients in designing the solar systems and their installation.

Moser Bear Solar is looking to increase its presence in emerging markets like the US where the market for solar photovoltaic modules is still at a nascent stage. A report by the European Photovoltaic Industry Associations says that out of the 16 gigawatts of new solar photovoltaic installations that were added globally in 2010, US only contributed 0.8 gigawatts to the total additions in 2010. But the US market is tipped to increase from 1gigawatts in 2010 to 3 gigawatts in 2012. Hence; Moser Bear Solar is hoping to establish itself before completion increases.

MBSL is already a leading player in the Indian market along with competitor Tata BP Solar. MBSL is the solar arm of Moser Bear India Limited. Moser Bear India expects that MBSL will account for two thirds of its revenues in the next two or three years. The Indian solar market is expected to be worth 70 billion USD by 2022.
