Punj Lloyd announced the award of submarine pipeline contract for a $183 million, in an exploration block on the east coast of the country from the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). It is expected to be completed by April 2013.

The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction and installation of subsea pipelines for the Deen Dayal gas fields. 

The work comprises of a 24.5-km-long pipeline from a process-cum-living quarter platform (PLQP) to an onshore gas terminal (OGT), a 15-km-long effluent disposal pipeline and 24.5 km optical fibre cabling.

Moreover, the plan also includes 15 wells which comprise of over 10 new development wells and the completion of 4 existing wells.
