Markets open flat again; Hero Motorcorp surges
Markets opened the day flat in line with global markets, which have been witnessing lacklustre trade over the last few days.

The BSE Sensex was seen trading up 10 points at 17738 points, while the Nifty was up by 4 points over Tuesday's close.

Among the shares that gained in trade today from the S&P CNX stocks were Hero Motor Corp, Maruti Suzuki, Cipla and Tata Power. Shares of IDFC was trading up more than 1% following a good set of numbers.

Among the shares that lost ground today in early trade were Infosys, Wipro and GAIL. Hindalco was down almost a 1%, following a poor set of numbers.

Shares of Kingfisher Airlines lost than 4%, as profit booking in the counter set in. It maybe recalled that the shares of the company had spurted earlier this week on rumours of stake sale.

Asian markets were trading mixed today. Hong Kong's Hang Sang, the Japanese Nikkei and Singapore Straits Times were trading higher, while the Korean Kospi and the Chinese Shanghai Composite were trading lower.

Indian markets are likely to move in tandem with global markets. Markets are expected to take cues from the US weekly jobless claims that are expected later today.
