Country's leading automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra has suffered a minor blow in US after a District Court has upheld the lawsuit filed by the Indian company's American dealers.

The District Court in its verdict has allowed the case to move forward.

Earlier, M&M has filed a plea in local court to dismiss the lawsuit alleging fraud, misrepresentation and conspiracy by US auto dealers last June. The auto major is facing a legal battle from its American dealers over the launch of its first ever passenger vehicle product in the US market.

Last year, an American dealer had filed a suit against M&M alleging that the company misled them into believing that it was planning to roll out a new truck brand for the US market.
