Jet Airways net loss widens to Rs 495 cr

Country's second largest airline, Jet Airways (India) Ltd. has posted a net loss of Rs 495.5 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013, as against Rs 298 crore loss incurred in the year-ago period.

Total income from operations also reduced by 3 per cent to Rs 3921.9 crore during January-March quarter 2013, from Rs 4041.6 crore earned in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, the Mumbai-based carrier said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.


Meanwhile, shares of the company closed at Rs 562.70 a piece, down 3.69 per cent as against previous close on BSE.
