Infosys may launch new compensation structure in June

By Religare

India's leading software exporter Infosys Ltd may introduce a revised compensation structure for its employees in India on Saturday, June 1, with an aim to address the uncertainties on variable salaries.

A media report quoted the Infosys spokesperson as saying that "Our employees have given consistent feedback about reducing this. In response to this feedback, we have enhanced the guaranteed part of their compensation, reduced the variability and simplified the overall compensation structure."

The company is yet to decide on the annual wage rise. Infosys Managing Director SD Shibulal had earlier indicated that company was planning a new compensation structure to do away with uncertainties on variable salaries.

"We have always been extremely innovative in compensation. Last year, though the environment was tough, we had given a compensation increase. One of the things we are looking at for a while is to restructure the salary so that we balance the variable and the fixed salary," Shibulal had said.
