CoalMin likely to review CIL performance on August 7: Report
The performance review meeting of Coal India that was scheduled for July 25, and got postponed, may be reviewed on August 7, said the media report.

"The meeting under the chairmanship of Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal to review the performance for Coal India Ltd (CIL) is likely on August 7," a top Coal Ministry official told media.

CIL missed its output production target of 35.23 million tonnes (MT) in June and produced 32.57 MT, added the media report.

However, the Maharatna firm had also missed its offtake target of 39.85 MT in June. Output in the April-June quarter was 102.87 MT, as against 106.88 MT.

Meanwhile, the Coal Ministry has set production target of 482 MT and offtake of 492 MT for CIL for 2013-14.
